Sorry, the GeoGebra Applet could not be started. Please make sure that Java 1.4.2 (or later) is installed and active in your browser (Click here to install Java now)

Right. WordPress.com does not still allow GeoGebra applets. I just informed you because I’ve been searching a tutorial about it and recently found one.

I don't know if I qualify as a researcher (actually, I know I don't), but at least I WORK as a researcher within higher education. I am a lecturer in mathematics in Norwegian teacher education. This blog will show some of the thoughts, software products, scientific tidbits and ramblings I encounter in this area of work. I hope you leave some comments in the... comments field.

It is not possible to embed GeoGebra applet in WordPress.com. WordPress.com automatically strips off javascript codes for security purposes.

It’s such a pity this can’t be done. Works like a charm on Blogger.com. As you say, it’s surely security issues, but it’s still a pity.

I think they are making exceptions sometimes. They allow some trusted codes. I just hope that they allow GeoGebra embed codes too.

Update:

GeoGebra can now be embedded in WordPress hosted blogs. I have created a tutorial about it here:

and I am creating a tutorial next week on another way.

Yes, if you host the blog yourself, but it is still not possible on the wordpress.com-blogposts. Or am I missing something here?
