Embedding GeoGebra…

On my Norwegian mathematics blog, (on Blogspot.com) it was quite easy to embed a Java powered file made in GeoGebra by using GeoGebra’s built in “hosted Java archive” and the GeoGebra Upload Manager. However, I still can’t see how this can be done on WordPress, although I am sure it can! On blogspot, it looks like this: http://mattegreier.blogspot.com/2009/05/aritmetisk-middelverdi.html
Anyone with any further ideas on how to accomplish this on WordPress?

Sorry, the GeoGebra Applet could not be started. Please make sure that Java 1.4.2 (or later) is installed and active in your browser (Click here to install Java now)

  2. It is not possible to embed GeoGebra applet in WordPress.com. WordPress.com automatically strips off javascript codes for security purposes.

It’s such a pity this can’t be done. Works like a charm on Blogger.com. As you say, it’s surely security issues, but it’s still a pity.

  4. I think they are making exceptions sometimes. They allow some trusted codes. I just hope that they allow GeoGebra embed codes too.

  5. Update:
GeoGebra can now be embedded in WordPress hosted blogs. I have created a tutorial about it here:

and I am creating a tutorial next week on another way.

Yes, if you host the blog yourself, but it is still not possible on the wordpress.com-blogposts. Or am I missing something here?

  7. Right. WordPress.com does not still allow GeoGebra applets. I just informed you because I’ve been searching a tutorial about it and recently found one.
